Rebekah Fuller
Actress & Writer
I’ve always had a fascination with looking at
myself in the mirror – and not just because I’m
so very vain. The face is such a great canvas,
and I love watching actors with great faces –
they convey so much with even the slightest
movement.
While working on “The Steam/Chaos Experiment” as
the assistant to Armand Assante, I got to
experience firsthand how great actors prep for a
scene. He definitely took advantage of the
mirror in his dressing room. This feeling of awe
and wonderment welled up inside of me… I was the
designated person on set with “VIP” access to
Mr. Assante; I got the closest glimpse of his
transformation into Detective Mancini of the
Grand Rapids Police Department… and you should
hear the guttural, animalistic sounds he makes
just before “Action!” Watching his scenes with
Val Kilmer was surreal! Those scenes were the
redeeming parts of the movie. Oh my gosh I
almost forgot, I got to read lines with Armand
as well!
As a writer with poetic tendencies, I feel very
much connected to human emotion, and I’ve always
had characters and stories in my head that I’ve
just had to act out – in front of my mirror in
the privacy of my bedroom or bathroom.
In second grade my identity as a writer began to
take shape – that’s when I wrote and illustrated
my first book on construction paper and saw it
laminated and bound. After earning a degree in
writing, being published in poetry anthologies,
having a day job as a website content writer /
editor (yea, industrial products and services!),
and studying screenwriting (including learning
from some pros out in LA), “You’ve Got to Be
Kidding Me America” is a great opportunity to
try my hand at a specific comedic writing form…
and maybe I’ll get my romantic comedy produced
someday. It would be a dream come true to see
something I write on the big screen.
YGTBKMA is my fun, creative outlet – our goal is
to make people laugh… how great is that?! I like
dry, subtle humor but enjoy being silly and
goofy, too! I think deep down I’ve always wanted
to be an actress, but was always too shy and
insecure to join drama in school, though now I
really wish I had.
Since graduating from college I’ve pursued a
long-concealed interest in modeling, stemming
from being so intrigued with how the face and
body can convey the intricacies of human
expressions. I can now say I’ve been a
professional hair model and also character
model, playing my favorite princess, The Little
Mermaid Ariel, plus Mrs. Potts and the Easter
Bunny. I’ve been encouraged by responses to both
dramatic and comedic monologues I’ve given, and
I get to play some crazy characters on YGTBKMA
and experiment with lots and lots of
expressions.
Thanks mirror, you’re an inspiration!

Ever have one of those days when you
remark "You Got to be kidding!" as if you
were in complete disbelief. Well, these
videos reflect really good bone-head satire
about life in general. Filmed in Grand
Rapids Michigan for the community television
(cable) stations, the videos present several
clips that show some of the dumb myths and
absurdities that exist in today's society.
It looks at all those things that we observe
as totally unbelievable yet these things do
happen, not just on this production but also
in every day life; all the weird stuff that
you can imagine. Enjoy You Got to be Kidding
Me America!
